The Rico Board voted June 17 to provide a letter of support for a Southwestern Water Conservation District grant application to fund a Domestic Water Resilience Assessment and Drought Management Strategy.
Town Manager Chauncey said the request is for a letter only and involves no town match or financial obligation; the project would compile regional water‑system information, identify potential projects and share resulting reports publicly. Trustees moved, seconded and approved the letter of support by voice vote.
Chauncey said technical staff would be available for walk‑throughs of local systems if the grant is awarded and that the resulting report would be presented to the board when available.
