Keller Construction: office move-in slated mid'March; full Ely Building turnover targeted for early May

Ben Fry, vice president at Keller Construction, told the council the contractor completed a punch-list walk for the office area and expects AV work to finish quickly so staff training can occur next week.
"We are on pace for those offices to begin move-in for Monday as targeted at the last meeting," Fry said, and clarified that the move beginning March 16 will concern primarily office and support spaces, with industrial/high-bay areas requiring more work before full turnover.
Fry described field-modification work and concrete remediation in garage areas; some manhole adjustments enabled progress on the north-side athletic facilities and the team said it hopes to open those areas for use in April. The contractor and the town are also exploring options to improve lighting to meet dark-sky principles, including shields or separate circuits to enable time-based controls.
Council members asked about public access to vehicle chargers behind the building. Town staff said chargers are not yet publicly available but staff expects them to be fully open in April once concrete pads are re'poured and cured.
Keller and town project leads said they are targeting early May as the date to turn over the rest of the building and will continue to report schedule changes in two-week updates.
