Clerk to post food-assistance resources and town event calendar; holiday parade set for Dec. 6

The Clerk said she received a Jackson County food-assistance list from Joe Barnes and will print copies for town hall and post the information on the town website so residents can find local food resources. She also noted a 24-hour food pantry in Freetown and asked residents who can donate to replenish the pantry at the fire station.
On community events, staff confirmed they completed paperwork to close State Highway 235 for the Medora Christmas parade, which the Chair and staff said is scheduled for the first Saturday in December (the meeting referenced Dec. 6). A tree-lighting ceremony is planned for 6 p.m. the night before in front of the library, followed by cookies and hot chocolate at the Senior Citizens Building; local churches will provide caroling.
The Clerk said she has a Zoom scheduled to learn regular website maintenance tasks—uploading meetings from YouTube, agendas and minutes—and plans to add a public calendar so events are easier to find.
