Spring Green trustees approve annual burn request for River Valley Middle School

The Village of Spring Green Board of Trustees approved a request to allow an annual controlled burn at River Valley Middle School during its Jan. 8, 2025 meeting.
Heather Meixelsperger submitted the burn request on behalf of River Valley Middle School; trustees were told the burn is conducted by the Spring Green Fire Department. Trustee Deb Miller moved to approve the request, Trustee Jeannie McCarville seconded, and the motion carried on a voice vote.
The approval was part of a brief meeting that also addressed routine business. Trustee David Saperstein moved to approve the minutes of the Dec. 18, 2024 regular board meeting; Trustee Jean-Claude Bédard seconded and the motion carried. Trustee Deb Miller moved to approve the meeting agenda as presented; Trustee Jennifer Snow seconded and that motion also carried. Trustee Jennifer Snow moved to approve disbursements as presented; Trustee Damian Barta seconded and the voice vote carried.
No members of the public spoke during the general public comment period. Trustee Jean-Claude Bédard moved to adjourn at 7:09 p.m.; Trustee David Saperstein seconded and the motion carried. The minutes were submitted by Vikki Stingley.
