The clerk also reported items affecting the town budget: ADP payroll charges that were not budgeted until the end of the fiscal period and a recently purchased battery backup unit placed in the clerk's office. Board members discussed when fines for ordinance violations could lead to town cleanup and potential liens against properties for remediation costs.
The board then approved the month's bills on a motion and second, and the meeting adjourned at 8:19 p.m.
The clerk said she will continue to pursue the state treasury office for a receipt and will provide documentation for future audits. The board did not vote on any additional financial measures at the meeting.
