Perks Crossing Festival organizers preview June weekend and request public-safety support

An organizer for Perks Crossing told the council the festival is tentatively scheduled for a June weekend in 2025 and outlined planned events and a request for public-safety support.
"We’ll kick off Thursday with the fire department fish fry...a lot of the same events coming back this year," the organizer said, and added organizers plan a new countywide motorcycle ride on Sunday afternoon in coordination with the sheriff’s office. The tentative schedule includes a 5K on Saturday morning, parades at noon, live music Friday and Saturday nights and a Sunday community church service to close the weekend.
Organizers asked for the presence of the fire department, EMS and police and said they would publish final plans when vendors confirm. Councilmembers said staff would coordinate details and thanked organizers for bringing the plan forward.
