Residents thank Sandusky officials for Juneteenth support and streetscape parking fix

During audience participation at the June 22 meeting, a resident identified as West Pool (gave an address) thanked the commission for correcting parallel parking on West Washington Street, saying the change improved fire-truck access. "Thank you for stepping up and correcting the East and West Washington Street ... now fire trucks have more than adequate space for access," the resident said.
Barbara Clark, who identified herself and gave an address, thanked City Manager O'Rourke, Commissioner Vargo and the police and parks staff for support of the Juneteenth Freedom Fest. Clark said the event was successful and encouraged more community participation: "I just wanted to take this time to say thank you for everything that you've done to make this a success." Commissioners responded with thanks.
A resident suggested that the city manager include updates in the manager's report on actions taken in response to citizen concerns raised at meetings so the public stays informed. The commission did not take formal action on the suggestion during the recorded session.
