County Engineer Pam Dingman said the Urban SDK traffic-calming service will provide automated traffic counts that improve data accuracy, reduce labor costs and enhance employee safety. Rehabilitation Administrator Maria Hatfield said the Jenda agreement resumes DBT programming suspended during the COVID‑19 pandemic and adds three general‑population classes: two for male inmates and one for female inmates.
The Board also approved right-of-way tree-pruning contracts with Klugs LLC dba Klugs Tree Service and Ryan Lawn & Tree Service (total not to exceed $15,000), a contract with Mahoney Fire Sprinkler Inc for inspection and maintenance of sprinkler systems (not to exceed $10,000), and a memorandum of understanding with McKesson for medical supplies (estimated not to exceed $6,000). Commissioners approved a utility permit for a lift station installation (no cost to the County) and several right-of-way payments related to road projects; individual amounts ranged from $12 to $1,939 as listed in the agenda.
The Board approved a $75,000 grant contract with the Cultural Centers of Lincoln to fund a Welcoming Coordinator; Human Services Administrator Sara Hoyle said Mariella Resendiz Alvarado has been hired into the role and that the position will transition to the Cultural Centers once a new facility opens later this year.
