Plan Commission elects officers, appoints project advisory and liaison roles

At its Feb. 10 meeting the Auburn City Plan Commission elected Jim Fincher as president, John Good as vice president and Logan Zuber as secretary; the body also appointed members to the project advisory committee and confirmed a liaison to the DeKalb County Plan Commission.
The Chair opened the Auburn City Plan Commission’s Feb. 10 organizational meeting and announced the need to elect officers and make committee appointments. A committee member nominated Jim Fincher for president; the commission approved the nomination by voice vote and carried the motion.
The commission reappointed John Good as vice president after he indicated willingness to serve and elected Logan Zuber as secretary; both were approved by voice votes. The Chair made several committee appointments: reappointing Mike Makarowitz as liaison to the DeKalb County Plan Commission and naming Makarowitz, John Good, Daryl McConnell and Logan Zuber to the project advisory committee. Commissioners confirmed they were willing to serve despite the advisory committee’s daytime meeting time.
The commission also confirmed membership for the unified development committee (the Chair, Logan Zuber and staff) and designated Chris Lamb as the primary ET member to the BZA with Joe Scholtes as alternate. The commission approved the minutes of the Dec. 9 meeting by voice vote earlier in the session.
The actions were procedural housekeeping to establish leadership and committee representation for the year; no substantive land-use decisions were made during these votes. The meeting record does not show individual roll-call tallies for these approvals, only voice votes and the Chair’s announcement that motions carried.
