Engineer presents plan to finish 16‑lot Global Home Community; drainage, roadway realignment and debris removal discussed

Adam Hallford, who identified himself to the commission, presented plans to finish the unbuilt portion of the Global Home Community subdivision off Indiana, describing 16 serviced lots and several engineering measures to address drainage and access.

Hallford said the proposal includes 16 lots roughly 5,000 square feet each, full utility service, a proposed detention basin within the Leedah Drain easement to manage runoff, realignment of the internal driveway loop to avoid an easement, and removal of two sediment‑filled structures. “The purpose of the project is to finish the unencumbered portion of the Global Home Community off of Indiana,” Hallford said.

Commissioners and residents asked about a burned trailer at the far end of the road and whether it would be removed; Hallford said he would check with his client and follow up with the commission. He also described a traffic adjustment to consolidate entrances and a narrower drive aisle to mitigate traffic and safety concerns.

The presenter said the design aims to minimize disturbance and retain as much green space as feasible while installing required roadway and drainage infrastructure. Hallford offered to provide follow‑up materials and to meet with planning staff to answer technical questions.

What happens next: Hallford will provide additional documentation to the planning department and follow up on site‑specific cleanup questions; the commission did not take a formal vote on the project at this meeting.
