Mayor Dia Costello said at the July 10 meeting that the Clara Barton House renovation remains under historical review and that construction could begin as early as May 2025. The town identified potential concerns they will monitor, including long-term exterior lighting, HVAC noise impacts and construction disruptions for nearby residents.
Costello also said Town Hall plans to add an automated external defibrillator (AED) to the upstairs space as a precautionary measure related to public events and building access.
The council did not take formal action on the renovation at this meeting; members recorded the update as part of the mayor's routine business and agreed to continue monitoring the project while the historical-review process proceeds.
