Henry County commissioners on March 16 approved Resolution 3-3-26 authorizing up to $500,000 for design and renovation of the county-owned building at 311 E. Wood Street to house the Juvenile Court and related offices.
The resolution states the building is presently vacant and, with appropriate renovation, is suitable for a courtroom and related office space. The allocation covers architect services and renovations required to accommodate secure and functional juvenile court facilities and provides that the county mayor, or a designee, may execute contracts and agreements necessary to complete the work.
Commissioner Charles Elizondo moved to approve the resolution; Commissioner Patrick Burns seconded. The resolution passed and is effective immediately, the text says.
