The Henry County Commission on March 16 approved Resolution 2-3-26 to amend the county’s General Purpose School Fund budget for fiscal 2025–26 and to add a State-approved Innovative School Model (ISM) grant worth $2,239,534.48.
Commissioner Charles Elizondo moved to approve the resolution and Commissioner Kenneth Humphreys seconded; the motion carried. The resolution reallocates revenue and expenditure lines across certified-teacher pay, benefits, instructional materials, transportation equipment and technology. The ISM grant is earmarked for certified teachers, benefits, instructional materials and vocational equipment, and it includes substantial allocations for technology and other equipment purchases in the current fiscal year.
The resolution instructs county and school finance staff to record the grant and the associated expenditures in the FY26 budget; a detailed list of account numbers and amounts is included in the resolution text.
