Development services reports new permits, predevelopment meetings and ribbon-cutting

At the June 22 meeting staff gave a brief development-services update covering predevelopment meetings and recent permits.
Staff said planners met with an applicant about a 97-acre tract considered for open single-family residential development (lots of 1 acre or larger), a group seeking to lease part of an industrial site being used by Maverick Energy, and a Missouri County EMS team planning a new facility at 3692 Rodeo Palms. Staff also said certificates of occupancy recently issued included Sherwin-Williams and several shopping-center tenants; the city held a ribbon cutting for a new public works facility and a permit was issued for Keating Toyota’s service-shop expansion.
Staff also reported the city council is considering a mud formation policy and a plaza sign program that would standardize directional advertising panels for home builders to reduce right-of-way signage clutter.
No action was required on these informational items.
