The Auburn Redevelopment Commission elected Dan Braun as president and named Danny Ketzenberger vice president and Pete Kemp secretary at its February 2026 meeting.
An oath of office was administered earlier in the meeting; Henry Miller recited the oath and pledged to support the U.S. and Indiana constitutions and to discharge the duties of a redevelopment commission member. The commission then moved, seconded and approved nominations by voice vote.
The clerk read a message from Shelly Smolz, who said she was out of town celebrating the birth of her grandchild, that serving as president had been an honor and that she "fully supports Dan Braun as president" and looks forward to returning in March. Commissioners also recorded the appointment of Eric Bowser as the commission's representative to the Main Street facade grant committee and recognized visiting officials including Mayor Dave Clark, court treasurer Lori Ponius and city staff.
The slate of officers will serve the commission's annual appointments. The meeting closed with administrative reminders and a note that paperwork remains to be signed; the commission set its next meeting for March 3 at 12:00 p.m. in the same room.
