The chair asked staff to prepare materials similar to spreadsheets previously used at a budget retreat and suggested making that information available at council meetings or a "Talk of the Town" session so residents can see assumptions and explore options prior to final decisions. Staff agreed to assemble materials and present them at an upcoming meeting or public forum.
No formal budget action was taken at the meeting; the request was for enhanced public outreach and continued internal analysis ahead of any votes on the millage rate or spending reductions.
