During subcommittee reports, Wehner Park staff noted two exterior lights out and a list of prioritized improvements including stairs, a shade structure and playground upgrades; Brinkop Park reported muddy conditions at the top of the hill and completion of new trash can installations and concrete repairs; Hartry and Ackfeld parks were reported with no issues. General updates from staff included additional hiring in Public Works, treadmill maintenance for the gym, and availability of 25 trees through the Forest Relief program.
Other items: the Beautification Crew volunteer scheduling for honeysuckle removal was discussed and the Director’s Report noted mayoral photographs were reframed and relocated, a scholarship pool pass was awarded to a Shrewsbury family, and a new cleaning service was hired for the City Center. The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn; the minutes record that the motion was made by Kathy Rehmer, seconded by Glenn Kramer and that the meeting adjourned (vote tally not specified).
The minutes record actions and updates but do not supply detailed budgets or vote counts for approval items beyond the motion language.
