At the April 15 meeting Mayor Robert J. Alt said the Howard House/Minihanes property is included in a bond bill and noted that, although the building was never listed on the historic register, listing would make it eligible for restoration grant funding.
Mayor Alt announced the Elkton Little League Parade scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at 10:00 a.m. and the Elkton Alliance’s Citizen of the Year event on April 21 at 5:30 p.m. Alicia Calhoun, Executive Director of the Elkton Alliance, said the Alliance’s sound system is not functioning; she added it had worked temporarily but is no longer operational and that quotes for a replacement have been requested in the $30,000 to $40,000 range.
Hearing no additional business, Mayor Alt adjourned the meeting at 12:50 p.m.
