The Littleton Elementary School District governing board approved two personnel and procurement actions at its Dec. 10 meeting.
The board voted to reclassify an existing Student Achievement Coach position at Laken Prep Academy to a Primary Years Program Coordinator to meet International Baccalaureate (IB) candidacy program requirements. Administrative staff said the reclassification would allow the school to post and hire for the role and would not add a new FTE or additional district-funded positions. A board member moved the motion to approve the reclassification and a colleague seconded; the motion passed by voice vote with no opposition recorded.
The board also approved using the Arizona State Procurement Office contract CRTO59964 with Mobile Communications America for its full seven-year term to cover the district's two-way radio communications needs. Administrative staff said cooperative purchase agreements obtained via the Arizona State Procurement Office are typically valid for five years and that the state extended the agreement to seven years; approving board action allows the district to take advantage of the extra two years. The district estimated the spend on the cooperative purchasing agreement would be approximately $31,000.
Both items were presented as staff recommendations. There was no roll-call vote recorded in the meeting transcript; approval was recorded by voice with no recorded opposition. The board adjourned at 6:53 p.m.
