County Attorney Adam Parsons discussed the condemnation matter with the board. Supervisor Kevin Hardin moved to direct Parsons not to intervene; Supervisor Scot Hunt seconded the motion. The motion carried with AYES recorded for Shawn Maine, Kevin Hardin and Scot Hunt. The minutes state the county "has no problems letting the Condemnation go through."
Earlier in the meeting a member of the public, Randy Foor, asked whether defendants would be responsible for expenses in a separate matter (the Sam Willson case), reporting costs of $50,529.67; Chair Shawn Maine directed Foor to consult with the County Attorney about financial responsibility in that case. The minutes contain no further recorded response on that expense question.
