Louisa County library directors ask supervisors to continue county funding

Llewann Bryant (Wapello), Amie Herrick (Morning Sun), Tiffany Stephens (Letts) and Mandy Grimm (Columbus Junction), directors of Louisa County libraries, presented an overview of services offered by their branches at the Louisa County Board of Supervisors meeting on Jan. 21, 2025. The directors asked the board to continue county funding to help maintain and expand programming and core services.
The presentation described local library services and appealed to the board for continued financial support so the libraries can sustain public programming, materials access and community resources. The minutes record the request and that the board acknowledged the presentation; no formal vote on library funding was taken that day.
