Mount Kisco ARB approves 28-panel rooftop solar at 126 Manchester Drive

Tara McDevitt, a representative of Trinity Solar, presented plans for 28 rooftop solar panels oriented south toward the street and showed renderings and material details. McDevitt said the panels would be largely not visible from the street and explained that because the electric meter is on the front of the house, conduit would either be run down the side of the home and over or routed through the attic, depending on the homeowner’s preference at the time of installation.
Board members asked questions about panel placement, materials, color and the location of the conduit. Nicholas Bagley moved to approve the application (Case ARB26-2); James Vallejos seconded the motion. The motion carried on a unanimous voice vote (all ayes).
The approval authorizes the roof-mounted installation as presented; the transcript indicates final installation details such as exact conduit routing will follow the homeowner’s preference and standard building and electrical permit processes. The meeting took place at the Frank J. DiMicco Board Room, 104 Main Street; staff present included Board Secretary Debi Brunner. The board adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
