Wildwood approves multimillion-dollar water contracts, pays $3.85M in bills

The change order reflects an increase of $893,000, bringing the contract total to $8,131,603.75. The commission also approved Change Order No. 2 (Resolution 277-6-26) for Lexa Concrete, LLC, decreasing that contractor’s FY2024 NJDOT Local Transportation Project Fund contract by $85,644.70 to a revised total of $841,726.30.
The commission authorized award of the next phase of the lead replacement work — Lead Service Line Replacement Program Phase 3 (Resolution 278-6-26) — to South State, Inc., for a contract not to exceed $9,046,195.00. Other capital and maintenance awards included a Perna Finnigan, Inc. contract for FY2026 New Jersey Water Bank sanitary sewer and water improvements (Phase 4); a Pravco, Inc. contract to replace Wildwood beach bathroom and Municipal Court building roofs (not to exceed $53,200); and purchase authorization for one 2027 Ford F450 dump from All American Ford of Paramus (not to exceed $93,366.60).
The commission also authorized publication and bidding for the FY2025 NJDOT Municipal Aid reconstruction of Lincoln Avenue, approved submission of a NJDOT grant application for the reconstruction of Burk and Washington avenues (Application MA-2027), and allowed the City to apply to the New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone Authority for Enterprise Zone administration funds through Dec. 31, 2027. The board approved a contract with Triad Associates for program implementation services tied to a USDOT Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant (not to exceed $19,500).
The full slate of resolutions (Resolutions 275-6-26 through 289-6-26) was read by City Clerk Lisa A. Brown and carried on a single roll-call vote: Commissioners Krista McConnell, Steve Mikulski and Mayor Ernest Troiano Jr. voted yes.
The approvals advance several large capital projects and grant applications that city staff said are intended to address water infrastructure, road reconstruction and municipal facilities work.
