Dave Schmidt, the Village Assessor, presented an estimate of $30,487 for a full village revaluation in 2026 covering all 813 parcels. Schmidt outlined a proposed schedule to begin work July 1, 2025, with completion targeted for Aug. 1, 2026, and noted he would receive monthly compensation of $1,500 during the revaluation period.
Schmidt said the revaluation is required to ensure assessed valuation compliance. After discussion, Brenda Staszak moved and Tim Kelley seconded a motion to recommend the revaluation to the Board. The motion carried unanimously.
The Committee forwarded the recommendation; the Board will consider approving funding and the revaluation schedule at a subsequent meeting.
