Brodhead council approves wage increase and hires Pool & Rec Supervisor after closed session

Following the closed session, the council approved multiple personnel motions. Alderperson Baxter moved, and Alderperson Naramore seconded, a motion to increase the hourly wage for Barry Diffenderfer to $15 per hour; the motion carried on a unanimous vote recorded as "all ayes." The council also approved a motion by Baxter, seconded by Naramore, to hire Ashley Graves as Pool & Rec Supervisor at a starting wage of $23 per hour, full time, with a $0.50-per-hour increase after she completes a 90-day evaluation and obtains the pool operator’s license. That motion also carried on a unanimous vote recorded as "all ayes."
The meeting adjourned at 8:13 p.m. on a motion by Alderperson Burkhalter, seconded by Alderperson Naramore. City Clerk Kristin Covert submitted the minutes.
