Split vote over committee assignments after debate on District One EMS seat

President Terry Moyer moved and Trustee Mitch Hodson seconded a motion to approve the committee assignments as presented. After discussion about membership of the District One EMS Board, including objections from Trustees Dylan Helmenstine and Jen Schuetz, the motion passed 4-2-0 with Helmenstine and Schuetz recorded as opposed.
During the discussion Trustee Jen Schuetz said she did not want to serve as the EMS alternative and recommended Trustee Dylan Helmenstine be the alternative; President Moyer agreed to that recommendation during the meeting discussion. Separately, the board approved the appointment of Bryan Moyer as a citizen member of the Vanguard Commission; that motion passed 5-0-1 with President Moyer abstaining because of a family relation to the appointee.
