Trust for Public Land describes role; county asks for parcel list after prior donation declined

At the June 30 meeting, DJ Forbes, project manager with the Trust for Public Land, described TPL's work conserving natural areas, developing parks and trails, improving outdoor recreation and helping secure funding for conservation projects.
The record notes that Pine County declined a land donation in 2025 because the property did not suit county needs. Commissioner JJ Waldhalm asked for a list of parcels TPL is currently interested in acquiring in Pine County; Forbes said he was not aware of any such properties but committed to forward any relevant parcel information to Land Commissioner Greg Beck.
