The resolution emphasizes infrastructure and utility improvements, employee recruitment, retention and compensation, economic development and housing growth, long-term financial planning, community quality-of-life services and organizational efficiency and communication. Department heads attended the retreat and provided input on operational and infrastructure priorities, according to the resolution’s summary presented to the council.
Councilor Bob Bond moved approval of Resolution 473 and Councilor Deanna Guy seconded. The resolution passed on a unanimous roll-call vote (AYES: Bond, Guy, Hardwick, Brash, Paige and Williams; NAYS: none). The council said the resolution will serve as strategic direction for staff as departments develop budget requests and project plans for FY2027.
