Board of Appeals asks for corrected survey, photos before deciding on 910 Lane sunroom variance

Architect Eric Jacobson told the board the property is a shallow corner lot and that a new, more accurate survey shows the addition would sit about 26.2 feet from the rear property line where 30 feet is required, creating a need for roughly a 3.8‑foot variance (the applicant asked for 4 feet to be conservative). Jacobson said the proposed 1‑story addition would sit on piers over an existing stone patio and would be elevated about 8 feet above grade.
Board members pressed the applicant on several discrepancies between submitted documents: different entries for story count and building height appeared in the survey, the application, and the zoning compliance chart. The board also noted inconsistent side‑yard numbers and asked for clearer, consolidated zoning calculations. Jacobson said the plans include renderings and photos; the board asked that clear photographs and the corrected survey be added to the record.
Neufeld said the panel could either adjourn to the next meeting to allow time for the applicant to file corrected materials or close the hearing if the record is complete. The board decided to adjourn the hearing subject to receiving the new survey, corrected zoning calculations and photographs; the applicant was given about 10 days to submit the materials to be considered at the next meeting.
The hearing remains open pending those filings and any follow‑up questions from the board.
