Nicole Henderson was nominated, unopposed, and sworn in as board president. During the oath she stated, “I, Nicole Henderson, do solemnly swear to support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of New York and to faithfully discharge the duties of president of the board of education of the Malvern Union Free School District.” The board recorded the nomination, a second and an affirmative vote.
The board also completed other officer appointments and oath administrations. A trustee identified in the meeting as Sandy Ronquillo took the oath as a board member. The board then closed the reorganization portion of the meeting and opened its regular meeting, taking routine actions that included approval of the June 9 minutes, the treasurer’s report for May 2026 and the May receipts report after each was presented.
The board noted there was no superintendent’s report at this meeting. Members also reviewed upcoming dates: a board education meeting scheduled for Aug. 25 at 7 p.m., and the first day of school set for Sept. 2. The meeting concluded after a final motion to adjourn carried without recorded opposition.
