The Russellville water board called the meeting to order and discussed several operational matters, including a pump performance report, possible building needs for water equipment, customer leak-billing adjustments, and approval of master claims totaling $10,288.82.
Chair called on Troy Lee for an update on a pump discussed at earlier meetings. Troy Lee said technicians ran the pump tests at 100 percent but that the town typically operates the pump at about 70 percent, and recommended holding off on replacement while monitoring performance next year: "So he said that they were running at a 100%. But, talking to this guy, we run about 70% on that on that pump. And so we're we're well within range. His recommendation was, hey, let's hold out," Troy Lee said (first speaking at SEG 121).
Board members also raised infrastructure concerns: Troy Lee and others noted a leaking roof at the small pump-house building and discussed whether to pursue a separate building to house water equipment; members agreed to investigate options and revisit the matter at the next meeting.
On billing matters, staff presented two customer leak adjustments and asked for approval. Staff member reported that one adjustment related to "Jennifer's old house" (a sump-pump issue) and another to a property at 102 South Jefferson that experienced a toilet issue. Committee member moved to approve the leak adjustments, and the board approved them by voice vote.
The board then moved to accept master claims. "I make a motion to accept the master claims at $10,288.82," said Committee member (first speaking at SEG 331); the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The meeting closed with no public comments and a motion to adjourn.
What happens next: members said they will study building options, continue monitoring pump performance and meter reads, and post any follow-up items for the next meeting.
