Staff entered Section 604.9 of the Morrison County Land Use Control Ordinance, aerial photos, a site plan, renderings, site photos and mapping that showed wetlands behind the tree line. Board members discussed the restricted building envelope due to wetlands and elevation changes; the applicants said the proposed home would be slab‑on‑grade and include a garage and that the existing front deck would not be replaced. Staff noted the applicant attended the DRT (development review team) meeting and staked the right of way; no comment from Public Works was recorded.
A motion by George Sandy to approve the variance was seconded by Clint Kathrein and carried unanimously among members present. The public hearing was closed at 8:00 p.m.; the board approved its June 9 minutes and adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
The file shows wetlands adjacent to the lot and limited room for relocation; the variance approval allows the applicants to proceed with their proposed addition subject to any required building permits and agency reviews.
