Clerk LeAnn Johnson told the council on Aug. 26 that the Town of Froid received an award letter under HB 355 to cover repairs to the town office roof and spot repairs to sewer lines. She said the town will need to secure a contract to perform the sewer-line repairs.
Johnson also reported there was no update on the town’s ARPA project while the town waits for a second reimbursement draw. Mayor Sheri Crain said she asked a contractor to produce quotes for library repairs related to improperly sloped rain gutters that create snow-and-ice hazards and recommended tabling the library project until additional options are reviewed.
Crain further announced a $1,270 donation from Sheridan Electric and a matching donation from Basin Electric to purchase 10 new tables for the Community Center.
The meeting did not include firm cost estimates or contractor names for the sewer repairs; the clerk recorded the award but said procurement would follow to secure the necessary contract.
