District outlines rollout of site-based clinics with Greater Valley, plans limited first-year days

Liz, who led the update, said the district is establishing clinic space at three main schools and Linderman Education Center with permanent walls and expects the first site to open in October. “This would be no cost to our plan members if they see a site as well if they're on the traditional plan,” she said, adding that Greater Valley’s sliding scale will cover uninsured students and family dependents.
Liz and colleagues said most school sites will begin with one clinic day per week to test demand and staffing, and that parent consent forms are required for students to receive services. The district and Greater Valley will coordinate open-house booths and consent collection; administrators emphasized a cautious rollout to balance safety and access and said they will survey staff later in the fall to refine schedules.
Trustees asked about continuity of care when students change schools and whether staff appointments will reduce absenteeism. Liz said designated providers will rotate among sites but families may need to see a provider at an off-site clinic if continuity is required; expansion of days will depend on utilization metrics.
