Kalispell Education Foundation asks trustees to help win $10,000 Great Fish incentive grant

Dorothy Drury, representing the Kalispell Education Foundation, updated trustees on the foundation’s grant work and urged support during the Whitefish Great Fish Community Challenge running Aug. 23–29.
“We would love for you to not only give during this time, but if it is possible for you to share,” Drury said, explaining the incentive grant requires donations of at least $25 during the challenge window. Drury said KEF hopes to direct any $10,000 incentive to early-childhood outdoor experiences and aims to raise about $60,000 during the campaign.
Drury described distribution patterns across elementary, middle and high schools, said KEF is piloting a parent-facing giving option to help smaller schools with fewer parent resources, and noted community partners such as Stockman Bank and Flathead Electric Cooperative support programming including tutoring and an Educator of the Year program that drew more than 800 nominations this year.
Trustees thanked Drury for the update and asked for follow-up information; Drury said she would send slides and progress emails to the board.
