The Kalispell Public Schools Board approved a 12‑month fixed‑rate natural gas contract for district facilities, an administration representative said, calling the contract "fair pricing" that will deliver district savings.
Matt told the board the fixed‑rate agreement was not listed with the agenda because of the timing of the bid, but recommended accepting the bid and moving forward with a 12‑month fixed rate from the district’s gas provider. He summarized expected savings, saying the contract represents about a 13% decrease and described that as good news compared with broader market shifts he estimated at roughly 18%.
Trustees had no substantive questions; a motion to approve the contract was made, seconded and carried on voice vote.
