Brianna Schott, introduced herself as a band member, told the board the band will depart early on June 2, connect with Colstrip Schools for transportation to the airport, and visit landmarks in Nashville including the Country Music Hall of Fame, Centennial Park and the Grand Ole Opry. The itinerary lists a clinic at Belmont University and studio time in an RCA studio; staff clarified that the Grand Ole Opry portion is a backstage tour and that the scheduled performances are at Belmont and in the studio.
Trustees asked about the number of students and chaperones and staff said five students plus staff (six people including an adult) would travel. Transportation will coordinate with another district’s bus to reach Billings, and return transport was described as provided by the partnering district.
