Adell board appoints trustee, approves event and licenses, sets committees

At its May 14 meeting the Village of Adell Board of Trustees appointed Arush Chahal to an open trustee seat, approved the Fun Run/Brat Fry scheduled for Oct. 4, 2025, and granted a Class B fermented malt beverage license and three operator licenses to the Adell Athletic Association; multiple committee appointments were also confirmed.
The Village of Adell Board of Trustees on May 14 appointed Arush Chahal to the open trustee seat and approved a slate of local administrative items including an Oct. 4 Fun Run/Brat Fry, liquor and operator licenses for the Adell Athletic Association, and membership for several village committees.
On a motion by Brian Parr, seconded by Leighton Holtz, the board appointed Arush Chahal to the vacant Village Board Trustee position; the motion carried with all voting in favor. Trustee Arush Chahal will fill the open seat created prior to the meeting.
Trustee Bill Such moved, seconded by Arlo Neumann, to approve the Fun Run/Brat Fry event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025; the motion carried unanimously.
The board approved a Class B fermented malt beverage license for the Adell Athletic Association (trade name, 400 Seifert Street). The board also approved operator licenses for Jeffrey H. Kreutzinger, Steven Justinger and Kim Eberhardt; each motion carried with all voting in favor. The minutes list the applicants and their addresses but do not record any objections or conditions attached to the approvals.
The board also confirmed appointments to standing bodies: the Plan Commission (including President Andy Schmitt, Bill Such, Eric Cline, Bill Krueger, Barb Parr, Jamie Ahrens and Andy Birenbaum); the Board of Review (Andy Schmitt, Arlo Neumann, Jim Jentsch, Tom Pfeifer and Michelle Rate); Lakeview Library representative Susan Noordyk; and the Finance & Personnel Committee (Andy Schmitt, Leighton Holtz, Brian Parr and Eric Cline). All appointments were approved on motions that carried unanimously.
Director of Public Works Matthew Risch will obtain pricing for a quarter-mile of fencing for the dog park; that agenda item was postponed for future consideration. Clerk/Treasurer Kelly Rathke recorded that no public comments were heard during the meeting.
The board set its next regular meeting for Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Adell Village Hall.
