Chief Bennett explained the grant process and said Layton City will act as the designated fiscal agent as required by the grant. "We were awarded a direct allocation on this grant," he said, noting the award amount is $9,551 and that the funds will go toward increased security at Bartle Park following recent criminal mischief and property damage.
A councilmember thanked staff for seeking grants to enhance the community. The council approved the resolution to enter the interlocal agreement unanimously.
What’s next: Staff will coordinate with Layton City (fiscal agent) to accept and disburse funds for cameras and related security equipment at Bartle Park.
