Panel reports 75 seedlings planted, approves protections for six newly purchased trees

Committee member Cynthia Moyano said she will email Department of Public Works Supervisor Jason Miller to request that DPW dig holes flanking the bench for two of the trees; if DPW is unavailable, the committee agreed the trees will be temporarily planted in the second pollinator garden until they can be relocated in spring.
Committee member Matthew Fox moved to authorize the purchase of materials for a protective surround for the six trees and to research appropriate fencing and materials online. Fausto Moyano seconded the motion and the minutes record the motion carried with the phrase "all in favor." The minutes do not list individual roll-call votes.
The committee did not set a specific purchase amount for the protective materials at the meeting; follow-up on cost estimates and procurement responsibilities was not specified in the minutes. The committee will address implementation details at a future meeting.
