Committee members discussed liability, placement (signs to be sited at playground entrances), and long-term maintenance; staff recommended the village not guarantee perpetual replacement if signs are vandalized and to reserve the right to remove damaged signs.
A motion to accept installation of the signs (with the village not assuming perpetual replacement responsibility) was moved and seconded; the committee approved the motion by voice vote.
Implementation: staff will coordinate sign locations with the donor group, confirm which of the seven playgrounds will receive signage, and report back to the committee if replacement or vandalism costs arise.
