The New Albany-Floyd County Schools board on June 18 approved its consent agenda, clearing staffing reports, stadium box remodel projects at New Albany and Floyd Central, an architectural-services engagement with Wold/VPS and a quick-claim deed related to a 2026 mortgage property.
Chair called for the motion; a board member moved to approve “as presented” and a second was recorded. The board then voted, with the roll call given by the clerk: Mr. Nafis, Mrs. Ball, Mrs. Carruthers, Mrs. Galligan, Mrs. Northup, Mrs. Weishardt and Mrs. Gardenauer all vocalized “Aye,” and Chair announced the motion passes 7-0.
Board members and staff noted the projects will proceed through standard procurement steps. Several speakers said many bids and design approvals still must return to the board before physical work begins. No additional public-comment items or motions were taken on the consent items at the meeting.
The consent-agenda vote was the first formal action of the meeting; detailed bid packages and individual project contracts are expected to return to the board for separate approval as scopes and budgets are finalized.
