During the public-comment period of the Sept. 21, 2021 Hainesport Township Board of Education meeting, teachers’ union president Karen Kinter said union members attended the meeting either in person or virtually as a sign of solidarity and emphasized that teachers care about student well‑being.
Karen Kinter (identified in the minutes as school faculty and union president) made the statement during the public-comment portion opened at about 7:21 p.m. Board member Jason Cardonick responded during the same period, saying the board appreciates the teachers and will work with them to reach a fair agreement.
