Rolfe ambulance passes inspection; council approves library garden bed and other community items

Ambulance Director Shelley Stumpf told the council the Rolfe ambulance passed a deficiency-free inspection, the service received a grant to install new storage cabinets and Stumpf was recognized as the state Volunteer of the Year. She also noted three people from Rolfe are enrolled in an EMT training class.
Council approved a raised garden bed outside the library for the summer reading program and renewed Rolfe Heartland's cigarette permit. The council authorized using free dirt from the county for tree-removal backfill and set Clean-Up Days for May 11–12. A motion to purchase a gas detector was tabled until the next meeting.
Resident Jim Pentico requested the council remind residents to conduct themselves responsibly when speaking at meetings. The council also recorded one complaint about habitual nighttime dog barking and voted to send a letter to the owner.
