Rolfe council approves FY27 budget; Park Board recommends keeping pool closed

Mayor Stephanie Sindt presided over the Rolfe City Council meeting on April 13, where the council approved the fiscal year 2027 budget following a roll-call vote in which Council members Lana Pratt, Aaron Cox, Rob Jackson, Brent Stewart and Tammy Shimon voted yes.
Treasurer De Cooper Sindergard presented the March clerk and treasurer reports and told the council nuisance bills totaling $1,520.60 have been paid and water-plant pump repairs cost $8,440.00. Council members discussed changes to budget line items before the final vote.
The council also approved the Park Board recommendation not to open the municipal swimming pool this summer. Council member Brent Stewart said the recommendation came from the Park Board; the council voted to accept it. The council set a public hearing to approve the final FY27 budget for April 27 at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting set Clean-Up Days for May 11–12 and the mayor read and signed a Keep Iowa Beautiful proclamation. The council adjourned at 6:37 p.m.
