Ogdensburg board to submit District Performance Review, sets Jan. 2 reorganization meeting and confirms election winners

The Ogdensburg Borough Board of Education voted on Dec. 3 to authorize the Superintendent to submit the District Performance Review (DPR) for the 2024–2025 school year to the New Jersey Department of Education. The motion to submit the DPR was presented by Mr. Mortensen and seconded by Mr. Menendez and was approved by unanimous voice vote (BB‑01).
Administrative staff reminded board members that, under the New Jersey School Ethics Act (N.J.S.A. 18A:12‑33 et seq.), newly elected and re‑elected board members must complete required ethics training in specified years of their terms. The minutes list Governance I–IV training modules and direct members to contact Mr. Rennie with questions.
The minutes also record the certified results of the November 2024 board election: Brendan Donegan (3‑year term), Alyssa Allen (won as a write‑in for a 3‑year term), Casey Kondik (2‑year term), and Chris Gorsky (2‑year term). The board set its reorganization meeting for Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., with a snow date of Jan. 3, 2025 at 5 p.m. The minutes note the community is welcome to attend.
