Ottawa council creates Insurance Committee, appoints 14 residents to terms ending Feb. 1, 2029

Mayor Robert Hasty presented and moved the adoption of a resolution establishing an Insurance Committee for the City of Ottawa and proposing appointments to the committee at a Feb. 9 special meeting.

The motion, moved by Mayor Robert Hasty and seconded by Council member Thomas G. Ganiere, named Devin Fleming, Mike Williams, Ryan Tieman, Robert Nilles, Eric Ganiere, Randy Nelson, Bob Anderson, Casey Ocepek, Jackie Hughes, Alaina Iverson, Daniel Pond, Kim Czyz, Jeff Bangert and Jeff Newbury for appointment, with terms to expire Feb. 1, 2029. “Moved by Mayor Hasty that a Resolution establishing an Insurance Committee and appointing Devin Fleming, Mike Williams, Ryan Tieman, Robert Nilles, Eric Ganiere, Randy Nelson, Bob Anderson, Casey Ocepek, Jackie Hughes, Alaina Iverson, Daniel Pond, Kim Czyz, Jeff Bangert, and Jeff Newbury, all to the Insurance Committee of the City of Ottawa, Illinois, terms to expire February 1, 2029, be adopted,” the meeting record states.

The council recorded aye votes from Wayne A. Eichelkraut Jr., Thomas G. Ganiere, Marla K. Pearson and Mayor Robert Hasty and no nays, formally adopting the resolution and confirming the appointments.
