Ogdensburg Board approves DPR submission, multiple financial and program motions

The Ogdensburg Borough Board of Education voted Nov. 5 to approve a package of district filings, financial reports and grant acceptances, including authorizing the superintendent to submit the 2024–2025 District Performance Review (DPR) to the New Jersey Department of Education.
In a motion presented by Mr. Mortensen and seconded by Ms. Schinn, the board approved submission of the DPR, accepted the October 2024 check register totaling $673,850.80, and accepted the Board Secretary’s and Treasurer’s monthly financial reports for September 2024. The board also accepted a certification that no line-item accounts exceeded appropriations in September under N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-16.10.
The board accepted federal and state education grants for 2024–25, including IDEA Basic funds totaling $85,128 and IDEA Preschool funds of $3,727; ESEA allocations including Title I-A ($25,677), Title II-A ($4,579), and Title IV-A ($10,000); and a School Health Insurance Fund wellness grant of $3,600.
The board authorized Parette Somjen Architects to file major amendments to the district’s Long Range Facilities Plan with the New Jersey Department of Education and approved submission of the 2025–2026 Annual Preschool Operational Plan and related Pre-K projected enrollment and documents, authorizing administrators to sign required forms.
Board members present voted Aye on the motions; Ms. Allen was recorded as absent.
