The Christian County Commission approved an emergency procurement for a wood chipper and awarded two three-year contracts to Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP for the new county campus during its June 25 meeting.
Highway Administrator Miranda Beadles and Purchasing Manager Kim Hopkins-Will presented emergency procurement #2026-4 for a wood chipper; the commission approved the emergency purchase with Western Commissioner Johnny Williams moving and Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson seconding. Hopkins-Will then presented a three-year contract for 24/7 monitoring at the new county campus, recorded in the minutes as costing $850.00 annually, and a separate three-year NASPO inspections contract recorded as $1,582.58 annually; both contracts were approved by unanimous vote.
