At its Jan. 27 meeting the Ogdensburg Borough Council approved routine consent items and several resolutions.
The consent agenda (moved by Councilwoman Ruitenberg and seconded by Councilwoman Cowdrick) included approval of Jan. 13 minutes, Resolution 19‑2025 to redeem third‑party tax sale certificate #2024‑007 for 11 Sterling Parkway in the amount of $1,111.06 and Resolution 20‑2025 to redeem certificate #2024‑003 for 335 Main Street in the amount of $1,562.42. The agenda also included Resolution 21‑2025 authorizing a shared‑services agreement with the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority to serve as the borough’s Certified Recycling Professional and certify and submit the 2024 recycling tonnage report to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
Separately, the council approved Resolution 23‑2025 appointing Van Cleef Engineering Associates LLC as interim Certified Public Works Manager effective Jan. 1, 2025, to provide managerial public‑works services until a permanent appointment is made. The council also approved a facility use application from Wallkill Valley Little League for regular weekday and Saturday evening practice and set the seasonal fee at $250.
Council approved payment of vouchers and departmental finance reports during the meeting; the minutes include a listing of checks and payees for the record.
